If you try to cross a dep gully head-on, you run the risk of smashing your front bumper and maybe even your radiator against the side of the opposite bank. Instead, you should approach the gully at an angle of about 25 degrees and walk each wheel through one at a time. Above all, don’t touch the clutch pedal. If you stop in mid-gully, you’ll find yourself cross-axled and stuck!
