AS ANOTHER ARCTIC FREEZE HITS BRITAIN THE NISSAN CUBE ARRIVES FOR THE FIRST TIME ON UK SHORES, FROZEN IN A GIANT ICE CUBE 08.02.2010 17:30:00

Take a Nissan Cube, 8000 litres of water, filtered then frozen for 240 days, sculpted with Japanese Samurai chisels and you have Cube in a Cube...

On Tuesday February 9th 2010, controversial tattoo artist Henry Hate who has worked with Amy Winehouse, Alexander McQueen and Pete Doherty, unveiled his first ever sculpture and the world’s first ice tattoo in a creative partnership to celebrate the launch of Nissan Cube.

Hate’s ice installation challenged the versatility of the tattoo as an art form and showcased it on a never seen before canvas; a 2.4m x 2.6m block of ice

The artistic installation featured a unique tattoo design on a large Japanese inspired, cubed ice sculpture which housed the brand new Nissan Cube inside.  The installation also featured an interactive sensor panel which lit up Henry Hate’s tattoo design and elements of the Nissan Cube.
