ELECTRIC VEHICLES FOLLOW ROADMAP TO THE NORTH EAST

The regional home of Nissan's UK manufacturing facility looks set to become a national area of excellence in the development of zero emission electric vehicles.

A detailed roadmap showing how EVs will be introduced to roads in North East England has been unveiled by Nissan Motor Manufacturing (UK) Limited and regional development agency One North East. Under the plans, a network of over 600 public recharging points will be created that EV owners will be able to use free of charge in the initial phase.
